Digital Marketing Expert Derek Mehraban to Speak at Oakland University Social Media Conference

Sponsored by Oakland University’s journalism department and career services center, the free Social Media 2.OU event will feature four 15-minute keynote speeches followed by Q&A and networking opportunities. All journalism, PR, communications and marketing students at Oakland are welcome to learn more about breaking social media trends and how to use social networking to help non-profits or as a career tool.
In addition to Derek Mehraban’s presentation, Matt Friedman of Tanner Friedman, Oakland University journalism professor Susan Evans and career services staff from Oakland University will deliver keynote speeches. The Social Media 2.OU event will be moderated by Oakland University Interim Journalism Director Garry Gilbert.
