A2 Fiber Luncheon Kicks Off Video Contest

Any Ann Arbor Google Fiber for Communities supporters are invited to attend to learn more.

Ann Arbor’s A2 Fiber effort is hoping for more than just the luck of the Irish as it vies to be selected for Google’s Fiber for Communities initiative. A2 Fiber is kicking off a YouTube video contest with a special Irish luncheon on St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17, 11:30 a.m. at Weber’s Inn, 3050 Jackson Road in Ann Arbor. Supporters of this effort will learn how they can be eligible to win a fabulous prize for creating a video telling why Google should choose Ann Arbor as a pilot community for super high speed Internet access.
The creator of the winning 30-to-90-second video will receive a grand prize; and there will be multiple runner-up videos as well. Prizes include an Apple iPad, Conor O’Neill’s gift certificates, Weber's Restaurant gift certificates, and more. Sponsors are Weber's Ann Arbor, Conor O'Neill's, Ann Arbor Spark and Ingenex Digital Marketing. Prize sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Videos can be uploaded to YouTube for judging beginning March 17, 2010. The deadline for submission is 1 p.m. EST on March 26, 2010.
