Marketing Automation Tools: Lead Generation In Your Sleep

A couple o’ things may be causing you stress lately:

  • The absolute mountain of marketing to accomplish in any given day. (Wouldn’t it be great if you could automate most of them?)
  • Your knowledge that such marketing automation software exists, but… you think about how fast these new marketing automation tools evolve, how many new ones appear seemingly all the time, and the incredible amount of time it will take you to learn how to use these automation tools to your best benefit. Overwhelming.
  • So you sit.  And do nothing.  Except those tedious, mundane marketing tasks.

Take our hand! We’ll guide you through it:

  1. Why use marketing automation?

The benefits of marketing automation are many. Basically, marketing automation refers to automating the repetitive tasks that go into providing prospects with the highly individualized information they’ve come to expect. These inbound marketing tasks could include: emailing, social media posting, lead generation, adding and removing subscribers from email lists, and so on.

  1. Who uses marketing automation tools – and why?

Marketers use marketing software. Whether they run a digital marketing agency or work in the marketing department of a company, marketing automation tools allow these professionals to market more effectively on several channels (websites, blogs, email, social media, etc.) by automating repetitive – but critical – tasks.

Possibly the greatest drawbacks to these tools are their complexity (somewhat steep learning curve) and the fact that their makers constantly tweak and “improve” upon them. Meaning marketers always need to relearn how to use them.

  1. What’s the best-known and highest-quality marketing automation software?

Personally, obviously, we love HubSpot.

It’s what we use to market our services as well as our clients’ offerings. HubSpot is considered by many marketers as the go-to platform because it has one of the simplest content management systems. HubSpot also provides incredible analytics (so that you can see which of strategies works best), and provides you with the tools needed to make adjustments so that your site will get more traffic, leads and sales.

HubSpot isn’t the only provider of great marketing automation software: Marketo, Pardot, Act-On, Active Campaign, and Oracle Eloquo also have their cheerleaders.

Here’s a comprehensive list of some of the best automation tools available today.

  1. Is marketing automation hard to learn?

As much as we wish this weren’t so, the benefits of using marketing automation software sometimes feels outweighed by its complexity. It will take time to learn how to use the tools yourself and you won’t become an expert overnight (or even in a few days).

That’s why many of our clients come to us; we are a team of marketing automation pros and we’ve been told by many of our clients that they tried to take on marketing automation tools themselves but found them too onerous and time consuming. They also felt they just weren’t using them to their full capacity.

So Ingenex “automates” their marketing for them! And quite successfully, we’re happy to add!

  1. Thanks for the tips. I’m new to marketing automation and just beginning my journey with GetResponse. Marketing automation seemed quite daunting for me before, but it’s the right time to do something about it.
