Inforum Michigan Case Study

Problem 

With more than 1,900 members throughout Michigan, Inforum Michigan is one of the largest and most prestigious women’s business organizations in the Midwest.   Inforum had been operating on an outdated website that was not meeting the organization’s needs in terms of connecting with its members and interacting with its sponsors.  Inforum recognized the need for a fresh new web presence that would help make the organization very visible and empower its constituents to register for events and make payments online.

Solution

Inforum Michigan called on Ingenex to completely rebuild the organization’s digital marketing strategy.  Ingenex created a comprehensive new digital marketing program that incorporated an entirely new web site design, a Drupal-based open source content management system to efficiently update content, a CiviCRM e-commerce engine for payments, a search engine optimization program to help the new website be found on the major search engines and social media marketing campaigns to drive fresh content on Flickr and Twitter.  

Results

The new Inforum Michigan website, which launched in February 2010, is revitalizing the way the organization conducts business.  The new site is designed to be easily updated by Inforum, easily found by the search engines, easy to make payments for members and full of valuable new content for visitors.  The combination of fresh new content on Inforum’s social media channels and search engine optimization to help people find the content is helping Inforum to more effectively connect with members old and new.  Ingenex uses photography and Twitter updates live from events to help tell Inforum's story and engage members in a real-time interactive way.  The new CiviCRM e-commerce engine is helping members to efficiently purchase event tickets and empowers Inforum to drive donations from its corporate sponsor base.  And the Drupal content management system makes it possible for Inforum staffers to quickly update the site without the additional costs and technical headaches associated with a hard coded website..
